I think my computer has been infected by a redirect virus. If I search
something, it presents strange results to me. If I type in a domain name to open
a new tag, it will instantly lead me to a webpage called
Search.baisvik.com . This is really annoying. I have run a full
system scan with my antivirus program but it cannot detect anything. How can I
remove Search.baisvik.com completely?
What Is Search.baisvik.com?
Search.baisvik.com is a malicious website implanted with browser
hijacker or adware that is able to hijacker browser and compromise system. It
can modify the browser settings and change the default homepage by adding BHO or
other third-party plug-ins or malware to the browsers. Once your browsers are
infected, it will means that some information about your online activities may
be furtively collected by this redirect virus, for examples, how frequent you
visit a website, how long you stay on a webpage, what you search, and even what
you type in a banking-related website. After that, these data will be
transmitted to the remote hackers via a specific service. Then users' sensitive
information could be transmitted to unknown cyber criminals; therefore, it is
dangerous for a user to open this website or put it into the favorites.
By misleading users to open Search.baisvik.com, criminals can boost the
traffic of the website and earn money from the ads it promotes. The creators
take advantage of this technique to generate traffic to their site, forcibly
capturing user's browser search service and change it to its own. The sponsored
links in the website may redirect you to blank pages, advertising sites, or the
websites containing malicious codes which can attack your computer. Besides, it
can add additional plug-ins and toolbars that are unfortunately hard to remove
using system uninstall tools. Unluckily, Search.baisvik.com hijacker provides no
uninstall feature and hides in the back stage so that security tool cannot
detect its existence. It is no doubt that Search.baisvik.com redirect virus will
do anything good in the infected computer, and you should remove it as soon as
possible.
To manually remove the redirect virus, you should acquire sufficient
computer knowledge and skills. If you are not clearly how to perform the manual removal, please do not try it in case of any system damage.
